After two years of searching, I finally found a local fox den. Sadly, two days after finding it, I was approached by a trapper and told to leave as he was planning to trap the family the following day. A sad reminder that foxes are still considered vermin and trapping is still common practice in rural parts of the UK.

A lucky day... After a 5am start and two hours of sitting in the same spot getting cold and bitten by midges, I got the moment I had been waiting for. This beautiful roe deer came within about 10 metres of me. No camouflage, just sitting quietly and still.
